As simple as it sounds, with CinemaForge you can convert any video file from one format to another. MPEG, WMV, ASF, SWF, MOV and AVI (with whichever codec), etc. In addition to a simple conversion, CinemaForge allows you to choose the final quality of the video and determine some technical parameters: frames per second, size, resolution etc. You can even include an MP3 sound file to accompany the video, or leave the original sound.
